On our kayaking trips on Savo's beautiful waterways, we trace ancient culture and enjoy historical sights. The hidden geographical wonders of the past, such as ancient graves, legendary treasure and cult sites, mysterious place names and rock paintings, enrich our journey into the Finnish mindscape. The nights on the trips are spent mainly in tents. We explore ancient art on three different routes. These three routes, the Canal Route, the Kukkari Tour and the Kuopio–Savonlinna Kayak Trip, allow you to see traditional ancient monuments in the immediate vicinity of the waterway.
Guide: Anne Hyvärinen is specialised in Finnish folklore and is a Finnish Canoe Federation approved paddling instructor.
